Tata AutoComp shows battery, motor and thermal systems at IAA Transportation

Tata AutoComp Systems is showcasing electric-vehicle components and commercial-vehicle technologies at IAA Transportation 2026 in Hannover, Germany. Autocar Professional reported the display on September 17, and the company’s public corporate information provides context for its global component business.

The exhibition runs from September 15 to 20. Tata AutoComp’s display is organised around electrical and EV systems, interior and exterior components, thermal technologies and supply-chain services. The company is using the event to present its capability to vehicle makers and Tier-1 customers working on electrified commercial vehicles.

The EV portfolio on display includes battery packs, traction motors, battery-cooling systems, electric compressors, power electronics, battery thermal-management systems, busbars and chargers. These parts cover several points in the energy path between a charging station and the wheels. They also show why electric commercial vehicles require more than a battery pack alone.

Tata AutoComp is also showing engine-cooling solutions, climate systems, composite parts, steel replacements and heavy-duty plastic interior components. Lightweighting can help commercial vehicles carry more useful load or reduce energy demand, but the company has not published a single vehicle-level efficiency result for the displayed parts.

The company’s supply-chain division is presenting transmission parts, cargo-management products and towing equipment. Tata AutoComp says it provides services from quotation management through delivery for global original-equipment manufacturers and Tier-1 suppliers.

Tata AutoComp operates 22 business units, including 11 joint ventures with international component companies, and has 74 manufacturing facilities across India, North America, Latin America, Europe and China, according to the report. It employs more than 20,000 people. Those figures describe the company’s stated footprint rather than a guarantee that every displayed product is available in every plant.

IAA exhibitions create commercial opportunities, but a display is not the same as a signed supply contract. The confirmed news is Tata AutoComp’s presence, the technology categories and the global manufacturing footprint described in the current report.
