Carrie series now streams all eight episodes on Prime Video

All eight episodes of the Carrie series are now available on Prime Video, giving viewers the complete first season of Mike Flanagan’s Stephen King adaptation in one visit. Amazon’s entertainment newsroom says the series is streaming now, and Prime Video’s program listing marks every episode available. The change moves the story from an upcoming Oct. 7 premiere to a full-season release.

Amazon describes Carrie as the first series adaptation of King’s 1974 novel. Summer H. Howell stars as Carrie White, whose move from a sheltered home to public high school coincides with bullying, a viral scandal and the emergence of telekinetic powers. The official synopsis places social media and adolescent cruelty alongside the supernatural story.

The season contains eight episodes. The Prime Video listing gives them school-subject titles, from “First Hour” to “Advanced Physics.” Amazon says all eight are available exclusively on Prime Video in more than 240 countries and territories. Local catalogs can differ, so viewers should check the service in their market; the company describes a broad international rollout.

Flanagan serves as showrunner, writer and executive producer and directed four episodes, according to Amazon. King is also an executive producer. The series expands the story across a season rather than revisiting it as a single film, giving the adaptation room to follow Carrie’s experience before the event that made the novel famous.

MovieWeb’s Oct. 7 report also says the eight-episode version arrived on Prime Video that day and identifies the central story as a new retelling of the novel. Its report and Amazon’s updated entertainment announcement agree on the key development: the series is no longer only scheduled; its full run is available on the service.

Amazon positions the program as the novel’s first television series adaptation. It is separate from Brian De Palma’s 1976 feature film: the productions share King’s source material but are distinct screen versions. Amazon notes that 2026 marks the film’s 50th anniversary.

No audience-viewership figure was included in the official announcement or program listing. The confirmed release news is more limited: Prime Video has made all eight parts accessible, and viewers can now decide whether to watch the story as a complete season rather than wait for later episodes.
