Tubi is set to add 28 Weeks Later on Oct. 1, according to MovieWeb’s report on the service’s October schedule. ScreenRant’s separate roundup of the lineup also lists the 2007 film for that date. Its list places 28 Days Later, the earlier movie in the series, among the same day’s additions, putting the two installments together in Tubi’s reported Halloween-season arrivals.

"28

The schedule update concerns streaming availability, not a new release of the film. 28 Weeks Later first opened in theaters on May 11, 2007, and the studio lists its runtime at 100 minutes. MovieWeb describes the Tubi addition as part of a larger Halloween slate, while ScreenRant’s list includes a wide group of films and television titles scheduled for October.

The official 20th Century Studios page identifies 28 Weeks Later as a sequel to the original horror thriller. Its synopsis places the story six months after the military has declared Britain safe from the Rage Virus. A new outbreak-related danger disrupts that period of recovery, according to the studio description.

MovieWeb’s report adds that Jeremy Renner plays Sergeant Doyle, who tries to get two children to safety after a safe zone falls. The film also features Robert Carlyle, Rose Byrne, Harold Perrineau, Catherine McCormack, Imogen Poots and Idris Elba, according to the studio’s cast listing. Juan Carlos Fresnadillo directed the sequel.

The Oct. 1 listing puts the first two films side by side in the schedule rather than presenting the sequel as a new release. MovieWeb and ScreenRant both report the date, but neither specifies the time the titles will become playable or whether the same date applies in every market. The confirmed update is therefore limited to the announced schedule and the films listed for that day.

The studio page rates the movie R and describes its genres as horror, science fiction, suspense and thriller. Those details distinguish the sequel’s catalog entry from a new production announcement: the current news is that a 2007 film is listed for a new streaming window, not that the franchise has begun a new chapter.

MovieWeb and ScreenRant both place 28 Weeks Later on Tubi’s Oct. 1 schedule, and ScreenRant also lists 28 Days Later for that day. The studio’s page supplies the film’s established release and production details. Together, those records support the date and the movie context, while leaving regional availability and the exact launch time unspecified.
