Great Western Railway was operating fewer trains on affected routes while the damaged equipment was assessed. National Rail said the reduced service was expected to continue until at least September 9, with passengers advised to check the latest timetable before travelling.<\/p>\n
The London Fire Brigade said six fire engines and about 40 firefighters attended the incident on September 5. Around 380 passengers were evacuated from a train, and the brigade said the cause of the fire had not been determined.
