Kaziah Liz Mejo is trending in India after the 19-year-old law student and model from Kerala won the Miss Universe India 2026 title at the national finale in Jaipur.<\/p>\n

NDTV reported that Mejo defeated 52 finalists at the grand finale held at Zee Studios. She will represent India at the 75th Miss Universe pageant, scheduled to be held in Puerto Rico in November.<\/p>\n

Mejo is from Mavelikkara in Kerala and is studying law. NDTV also reported that she represented India at Miss Teen International 2025 and finished as first runner-up. Her win places her on a new international pageant track after that earlier experience.<\/p>\n

\n<\/a><\/p>\n

First India reported that the national competition drew around 9,000 aspirants during auditions that began in February. The 52 finalists represented 31 states and Union territories, and the final rounds included introduction, speech, gala, swimsuit, evening gown and question-and-answer segments.<\/p>\n

Vaishnavi Ganesh of Tamil Nadu was named first runner-up and also received the Miss International India 2026 title, while Anushri Satavlekar of Gujarat became second runner-up. The judging panel included Sushmita Sen, Urvashi Rautela, Celina Jaitly and other public figures. Mejo\u2019s next major public milestone will be India\u2019s appearance at the global Miss Universe event in November.<\/p>\n
