KEELE, United Kingdom, Feb. 20, 2026 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) — Biocomposites, an international medical devices company that engineers, manufactures and markets world leading products for use in infection management in bone and soft tissue, today announces it is making its SYNICEM\u2122\u00a0bone cement products available in the UK with immediate effect.<\/p>\n
SYNICEM\u2122 bone cement products have been manufactured for over 25 years by Biocomposites\u2019 subsidiary, Synimed.<\/p>\n
Following the launch of SYNICEM\u2122 antibiotic loaded preformed spacers in the UK last year, Biocomposites was already planning to follow this up with the launch of their SYNICEM\u2122\u00a0bone cements. This UK launch has been brought forward to help ease the supply crisis that is currently unfolding.<\/p>\n
SYNICEM\u2122\u00a0bone cement products are CE marked and already fully approved for use in the UK. They are available as high viscosity and low viscosity variants, with and without the antibiotic gentamicin.<\/p>\n
