According to technology expert Enrique Abeyta, we\u2019re about to find out\u2014as early as June 1st.<\/u><\/a><\/p>\n That\u2019s when Elon Musk is expected to roll out the first phase of his Tesla Robotaxi project: a fully autonomous vehicle that will be operated by Dojo, a purpose-built AI supercomputer trained not by humans, but by machines.<\/p>\n \u201cIt\u2019s a fully automated car with no mirrors, no pedals and no steering wheels,\u201d says Abeyta. \u201cThat\u2019s not the future. That\u2019s next month.\u201d<\/p>\n AI That Thinks for Itself<\/strong><\/p>\n At the core of this transformation is Dojo<\/u><\/a>\u2014a neural-network training platform Musk developed after hitting limits with Nvidia\u2019s supply and pricing.<\/p>\n \u201cI think this requires that we put a lot more effort on Dojo\u2026 I see a path to being competitive with Nvidia,\u201d Musk said.<\/p>\n Tesla\u2019s new Dojo chip is already being described as six times more powerful than Nvidia\u2019s best-selling chip\u2014built specifically to train autonomous systems in real-world conditions.<\/p>\n With 160 billion frames of video processed daily from Tesla\u2019s global fleet, the system continuously teaches itself how to operate in complex, unpredictable environments.<\/p>\n \u201cWith the latest software\u2026 Elon Musk\u2019s AI can already drive a car without any help from humans,\u201d says Abeyta.<\/p>\n From Self-Driving to Self-Evolving<\/strong><\/p>\n Abeyta believes this marks the first time a commercially deployed system<\/u><\/a> is being shaped by a machine-only feedback loop\u2014without human guidance, intervention, or manual input.<\/p>\n \u201cThis is all part of Elon\u2019s master plan to become the leader in autonomous AI\u2026 an AI that can analyze the environment and make critical decisions on its own.\u201d<\/p>\n And it won\u2019t stop with cars.<\/p>\n A National Backbone for AI Autonomy<\/strong><\/p>\n As Dojo expands beyond transportation, Abeyta says its architecture could become the foundation for smart robotics, defense systems, and intelligent infrastructure<\/u><\/a>.<\/u><\/p>\n According to Morgan Stanley:<\/p>\n \u201cDojo applications longer-term can extend beyond the auto industry. It can lay the foundation for vision-based AI models.\u201d<\/p>\n That includes autonomous drones, medical diagnostics, surveillance platforms, and logistics networks.<\/p>\n AI Meets Policy<\/strong><\/p>\n Enrique also notes growing alignment between Musk\u2019s vision and federal policy:<\/p>\n \u201cPresident Trump just signed an executive order called \u2018Removing Barriers to American AI Innovation,\u2019<\/u><\/a>\u201d Abeyta explains.<\/p>\n \u201cHe wants to accelerate the development of AI because he understands it\u2019s a matter of national security.\u201d<\/p>\n
