Washington, DC, Sept. 25, 2024 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) — The Grover Cleveland Presidential Silver Medal will be available for purchase directly from the United States Mint (Mint) on October 2 at noon ET. \u00a0Cleveland was the Nation\u2019s 22nd and 24th President, serving from 1885 to 1889, and from 1893 to 1897, respectively. \u00a0He was the only President in U.S. history to serve non-consecutive presidential terms. \u00a0<\/p>\n

The Presidential Silver Medals are 99.9 percent fine silver, with each medal measuring 1.598 inches in diameter. \u00a0<\/p>\n

The obverse and reverse designs are by Mint artist C.E. Barber. \u00a0The obverse (heads) depicts a bust of Grover Cleveland with the inscription \u201cGROVER CLEVELAND.\u201d\u00a0 The reverse (tails) features, within an oak wreath, the inscriptions \u201cINAUGURATED PRESIDENT OF\u2219THE\u2219UNITED\u2219STATES MARCH\u22194\u22191885\u201d and \u201cSECOND\u2219TERM MARCH\u22194\u22191893.\u201d \u00a0<\/p>\n

Each medal is encapsulated and comes with a certificate of authenticity. \u00a0<\/p>\n
